Description

Our client is looking for a Director of Operations to join their
office in the Boston MA.  The qualified candidate will have a passion for
Property and Casualty Operations, and achieving goals in support of their
business plan. The candidate will collaborate with the Underwriting Leaders in
both personal and commercial lines, as well as overseeing the day to day
operations for the entire company in regard to distribution, billing and
process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the management,
operations and business results for the  Personal and Commercial Lines
processing business functions     

Make strategic decisions that
have the potential for an impact on customer experience, corporate
results, loss control, expenses, revenues or profitability

Able to see end to end insurance process and how it impacts the customer
experience

Participate in the development of the business plan for our Personal and
Commercial Lines processing functions and manages the completion
of projects associated with corporate priorities

Work collaboratively with Operations leadership teams understanding that
work intersects and impacts many functions in overall organization

Has significant fiscal decision making ability, which has the ability
to impact business results

Select, develop and engage an effective high performing team. Conducts
performance appraisals, recommends salary adjustments, promotions
and transfers.

Provides leadership by example, connecting actions with values   
 

Demonstrates ability to
pro-actively step out of comfort zone to take risks and stretch abilities

Mentors others and is a resource on building best practices to
improve business results

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required and
Master's degree preferred.

Intimate working knowledge of
Insurance Operations. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
including leading leaders.

Exceptional relationship
building and leadership skills

This position will have 2
direct reports, and approximately 80 indirect reports. Salary for this role is
$140-160k. Bonus potential is 30% annually. Relocation assistance is offered
for this role.
