Happy Holidays to You and Yours
Reflecting on an outstanding year in the insurance recruiting industry
By Mike McDonough
Last month we took the time to say thank you to everyone who has helped General Search & Recruitment get to where we are today. This month we’d like to take a look back at the past year and anticipate all the great things to come in 2017. As the stock market rises and the insurance industry continues to grow, we’re excited to see where our clients and candidates go in the coming year.
This past year, we saw an incredible number of placements with some of the top companies in the insurance industry. We were able to partner with firms all across the country – from New York and Florida all the way out to California and even Hawaii. We worked with executives, managers, supervisors and other high-level professionals that we’re confident will help their companies see increased success while furthering their professional goals.
The exciting part is that this trend doesn’t show any signs of slowing down as we approach 2017. With emerging markets and strong momentum through the end of the year, the insurance sector is projected to grow by over 2% next year according to Insurance Journal. That means more opportunities for our clients and the chance to further the careers of job seekers that work through us.
With the January 1 quickly approaching, we want to encourage everyone to make sure they’re prepared for the New Year. Many companies hold off on hiring around the holidays and hit the market hard when the calendar turns. If you’re a hiring company considering using recruiting services, contact us today so we can prepare to hit the ground running for your 2017 hiring needs.
If you’re a candidate, make sure to have your resume ready and in to us by the first of the year. The holiday hiring freeze will quickly thaw after January 1, and we want to make sure we can consider you for the new positions that will be rolling in. If your New Year’s resolution is to find a promising new career, this is a strong first step toward your goal.
Hopefully our work has provided security and peace-of-mind to several of you, whether you were hiring and worried about finding the right fit or a candidate who was looking for the next step in their career where they can provide for their family. We always pride ourselves on putting your best interests first, and value your trust as we all work together toward a common goal.
As the year winds down, we hope you’re able to take some time away from thinking about work and remember the true meaning of the season. Whether that means attending services, exchanging gifts, spending time with your family, or simply enjoying a bit of down time, our wish is that you’re able to take full advantage of this time to reset and prepare for the coming year. We’ve been given so much and are truly thankful for everything and everyone that has come into our lives, and those who we’ll have the privilege to meet in 2017.
