Are you ready to be responsible for overall corporate
regulatory compliance coordination for all lines of business for a national
insurance carrier with an excellent track record?
This role includes overall responsibility for implementation
of procedural and/or policy form changes resulting from regulatory, legislative
or judicial action, and oversight of regulatory and legislative actions
impacting client company’s underwriting, actuarial, claims, finance, loss
control and general business practices.
In connection with the various business units of the client
company, oversees coordination, implementation and direction of changes required
by regulatory and insurance industry authorities, including auditing areas of
Company to determine proper compliance.
You will lead compliance coordination and communication for
all lines underwriting areas through interactions with Actuarial and/or rate,
rule and form filing personnel concerning all corporate regulatory issues.
Verifies that all corporate regulatory policies and
procedures affecting all lines of business have been documented, implemented
and communicated to relevant internal and external parties.
Researches and responds to regulatory and legislative
questions from Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance and Business
Development that may affect any and all lines of insurance business as well as
Company business practices and services.
Responsible for oversight of the filing of premium and
claims-related data, and the quality of that data, to various rating bureaus as
applicable to the Company.
Responsible for handling of market conduct examinations and
all other insurance regulatory examinations affecting all lines of business.
Supports the Finance Department for handling of financial examinations
affecting the Company.
You will oversee drafting of product forms and endorsements,
and remain responsible for insuring that such forms and endorsements are compliant
from a statutory and regulatory perspective.
Responsible for oversight of required systems changes as
dictated by rate, rule and form modifications.
Oversees claims compliance functions including, but not
limited to, handling of regulatory audits of third party administrators, data
compliance issues and claims handling practices compliance.
In coordination with the Vice President of Data Quality,
responsible for premium and loss data reporting, unit statistical reporting
and/or bureau reporting, as applicable, for all lines of business.
Proactively identifies and assesses regulatory, compliance
and business issues to which all lines of insurance business are exposed.
Responsible for the oversight of research, development and
implementation of assigned regulatory projects.
Assists Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
Minimum 12 years
previous experience in corporate regulatory compliance with an insurance
company that works in commercial insurance
JD or MBA a plus
Insurance Designations welcome
