Position Overview:
Our client seeks an experienced Commercial Casualty Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims efficiently and fairly while maintaining exceptional customer service. This fully remote position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to handle complex claims in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review policy coverage, endorsements, and exclusions to determine claim eligibility and provide thorough documentation.
- Conduct investigations, assess damages, and evaluate claims to determine appropriate settlements.
- Maintain accurate claim reserves and provide timely reporting for tracking and analysis.
- Handle claims within assigned authority while adhering to all regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, insurers, and attorneys to achieve fair and equitable resolutions.
- Analyze lawsuits, provide strategic recommendations, and oversee litigation procedures.
- Attend depositions, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.
- Identify emerging claims issues and recommend solutions for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with large accounts and program partners for claim reviews.
- Support corporate initiatives and foster a positive work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial casualty claims adjusting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general liability, construction defect claims, and contractor liability.
- Familiarity with policy exclusions, endorsements, Medicare reporting, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills for high-value physical damage (PD) and bodily injury (BI) claims.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in claims management software and technology-driven solutions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining team collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; AIC or other professional designations a plus.
- Adjuster license in multiple jurisdictions preferred.
