Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Technical Auto Claim Specialist, you will:

  • Handle, negotiate, and resolve third-party commercial general liability and automobile bodily injury and property damage claims.
  • Verify coverage, interpret policies and contracts, and conduct thorough liability investigations.
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims in alignment with company policies and state regulations.
  • Manage the investigative process with clear communication to customers and relevant external parties.
  • Document all key activities, contacts, statements, and details necessary for claim resolution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terms, treatments, and injury descriptions.
  • Collaborate effectively with outside defense counsel in managing litigation processes.
  • Evaluate potential exposures under the policy to establish timely, adequate reserves.
  • Manage claim authorization and negotiate complex claims.
  • Potentially be deposed or testify in claims negotiations or trials.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of multi-line experience, including handling high-severity bodily injury claims.
  • Must possess a current Texas claims adjuster license; additional licenses are a plus.
  • Required litigation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred multi-jurisdictional experience.
  • Familiarity with Contractual Risk Transfer concepts and anti-indemnity laws.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to listen.
  • Commitment to high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to use a win-win approach to resolve conflicts and encourage open discussion.
  • Accountability for individual actions and the ability to hold others accountable.
  • Strong computer proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $105,000 – $140,000
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k), and Profit-Sharing plans.

The actual salary will be determined by factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
