Position Overview:
Our client seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Underwriting Analyst specializing in Employee Benefits.

This position plays a critical role in the underwriting process by managing data entry, account maintenance, policy binding, and broker correspondence to support the department’s production and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of agency management systems and be dedicated to delivering prompt and courteous service to underwriters, brokers, coworkers, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and import account data into the Agency Management System (AMS) accurately and efficiently.
• Review documentation to ensure risks meet the outlined underwriting requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and generate policy documents.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for first-level correspondence with brokers and clients.
• Process endorsements, updates, and legal notices as needed.
• Bind policies within the AMS as directed by underwriters.
• Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to new Underwriting Analysts.
• Manage escalated and more complex underwriting tasks, leveraging advanced knowledge and skills.
• Assist with the generation of loss history reports, invoices, and data imports when required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in underwriting or insurance administration, with a strong understanding of agency management systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide professional, courteous service.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with standard underwriting tools and processes.
