Underwriting Manager-Transportation

Remote- Southeast Preference

This well-established MGA is seeks it's next leadership person who will be the Underwriting Manager- Transportation  to lead strategy, innovation, and profitable growth across multiple classes of transportation business.

You’ll be at the forefront of building programs, expanding carrier partnerships, and developing a talented underwriting team within an organization known for its long-standing carrier relationships and entrepreneurial culture.
 
 ✅ Lead and grow the Transportation division, launching new programs and carrier relationships.
 ✅ Drive underwriting performance and profitability across multiple transportation classes.
 ✅ Mentor and empower a team of underwriters and support staff.
 ✅ Shape product, coverage, and rating strategies that align with market trends.
 ✅ Build strong agency relationships and represent the division with confidence.
 
What is requested:

 8+ years of Commercial Transportation underwriting experience (E&S required).
 Prior MGA experience.
 Proven leadership and relationship-building skills.
 Strategic thinker who thrives on improving results and growing teams.
This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who wants to make a lasting impact on a respected MGA’s transportation book.
 
Base salary is conservative, $150k to $175k. Plus Bonus.
