This month, instead of giving you industry news or hiring trends, I’d like to take a moment to say thank you to so many people who have made this year one to remember. It’s been a privilege serving clients and job seekers for 36 years as I’ve led General Search & Recruitment. It’s the relationships I’ve built through recruiting that make this career such a passion for me and I intend to bring that same passion to matching companies and candidates for many years to come.
To the clients I’ve worked with: It’s an honor to be a part of your organization. When I’m making placements, I always try to do what’s best for your company because I know how important the right hire can be. Many of you have trusted me with multiple hires and executive-level placements that I know are crucial to your success. I take this responsibility seriously and hope that you’ve been as confident with your hires as I was when I recommended them for your team.
For the candidates who’ve trusted me to place them: I hope this year has been as beneficial for you as it has for the rest of the industry. With over 66% of insurance firms planning to hire this past year, it was an excellent time to make the next move for your career. We understand that finding a new job is a huge step in anyone’s life, that’s why we work to make sure you’ll be happy in the company we match you with. It would be easy to pass your resume along and try to play a numbers game, but that’s not how you build lasting relationship and create trust. We want to make sure you’re happy and productive so you’ll refer us to your friends who are looking for new opportunities, or better yet, use us when you’re the head of your own company one day.
For my staff and team: I hope you all share in my excitement for where GSR currently is, and where it is headed in the future. Whether you’re inside our office, or are a member of our team that works remotely, you’ve all contributed greatly to what we do. If you’re a recruiter, know that you’ve helped successfully place dozens of talented individuals into great companies and have helped build careers and businesses through your work. Everyone on my team plays a vital role, whether that’s through Social Media, Blogging, Research, Sourcing, Writing, Accounting, Invoicing, Payroll, Taxes, Web Development or Marketing, I simply couldn’t do this without the help of so many talented people.
Our success is not just our own. It’s the result of clients and candidates who have given a referral, recommended us, endorsed us, visited our website or submitted a resume. We hope we repay those kindnesses with hard work, passion and a commitment to really care about the goals of each and every company and job seeker we work with.
