This client company seeks an experienced and highly skilled Casualty Claim Representative to join the dynamic team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in handling a diverse range of claims including liability commercial, homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella policies. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the litigation, arbitration, and trial processes, as well as the ability to manage out-of-state claims and/or Personal Injury Protection claims effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate casualty claims with a focus on liability commercial, homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella policies.
- Handle claims throughout the litigation, arbitration, and trial processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including out-of-state claims and Personal Injury Protection claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Conduct thorough claim investigations, including reviewing policy coverages, securing and analyzing evidence, and interviewing involved parties.
- Negotiate settlements and authorize payments within designated authority limits.
- Collaborate with legal counsel, adjusters, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive claim management.
- Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders and claimants, maintaining clear and professional communication.
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim files and documentation.
- Stay current on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in casualty claims handling.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in casualty claims handling, with a strong background in liability commercial, homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella claims.
- Extensive knowledge of the litigation, arbitration, and trial processes.
- Experience managing out-of-state claims and/or Personal Injury Protection claims.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are a plus.
