Our client company seeks a full-time Division Claims Manager to lead a team of supervisors in our Workers' Compensation department. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-driven professional who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about service excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive leadership as a member of the Senior Operations Group (SOG)
- Oversee daily operations and provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to supervisors and ancillary staff
- Ensure departmental policies, workflows, and claims handling procedures are consistently applied
- Manage hiring and staffing processes in coordination with HR
- Deliver ongoing training and professional development for staff
- Conduct client and internal meetings, present annual stewardship reports
- Authorize claims settlements and payment releases
- Respond to audits and implement quality improvement strategies
- Ensure proper and consistent claims coding across the department
- Partner with Sales on presentations for prospective clients
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Texas 03 Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License required; 08 All-Lines License preferred
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in workers’ compensation claims
- 2+ years of management experience in a Workers’ Compensation setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of WC regulations, policies, and best practices
- Prior TPA (Third-Party Administrator) experience strongly preferred
- Ability to travel throughout Texas, including overnight stays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated leadership with a collaborative and strategic mindset
Additional Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate claims supervisors and support staff
- Approve expense reports and manage department budget
- Handle branch facilities functions (maintenance, safety, security, etc.)
- Represent the company at industry events and client conferences
