Position Overview:

Our client seeks an experienced Marketing Underwriting Specialist to join their team in Michigan.

In this role, you will manage and grow their commercial middle market accounts, playing a vital role in the continued success in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned agents in central or western Michigan.
  • Drive profitable commercial insurance sales by cultivating relationships with agents.
  • Evaluate and underwrite middle market accounts, focusing on key sectors.
  • Utilize technical expertise in marketing, sales, and underwriting to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain and expand our exclusive network of elite agents.
  • Travel within the region, approximately 25%-40% of the time, to meet with agents and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical underwriting experience in the middle market segment.
  • Proven track record of profitable commercial insurance sales.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in middle market commercial marketing, sales, and underwriting.
  • Established agency relationships in central or western Michigan preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
