Position Overview:
This client seeks Stop Loss Underwriters to assess and underwrite stop loss insurance policies, managing financial risk for self-funded employer health plans.
Additionally, a Senior Underwriter position is available for qualified candidates seeking a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite stop loss insurance applications in line with company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Analyze client data to determine pricing and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, consultants, and clients to provide exceptional service.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to make informed underwriting decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of progressive Stop Loss Underwriting experience
- Basic understanding of stop loss market dynamics, risk management strategies, and a strong desire to stay ahead of emerging risks.
- Basic skillset in mathematics, communication, and negotiation.
Work Arrangement: Not remote, 4 days in the office, 1 day at home.
