This client, a leading national firm in the insurance industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Director of Employee Benefits. This is a leadership role focused on managing the key accounts team, consisting of more than 20 talented individuals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the team, contributing to the growth and success of our Employee Benefits division.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the key accounts team, overseeing a team of more than 20 professionals.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the success of the Employee Benefits division.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective employee benefits strategies.
Act as a thought leader in the benefits space, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, driving engagement and professional development.
Partner with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Drive business growth and profitability for the Employee Benefits division.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience in the benefits space, preferably in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health, retirement, and wellness programs.
Excellent people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a large team.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and change.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a national firm is a significant advantage.
Must be in the greater Chicago area.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Working Conditions:
Hybrid role based in Deerfield, IL, with the flexibility of remote work.
Regular travel may be required.
